HomeWave is a web platform dedicated to improving workflows and communications between home builders and home buyers. I was responsible for crafting an experience that enabled users to create their own community entities, model templates, and task flow that captures users' token data and populates contracts with the click of a button.
The client had a very focused vision that would directly help his industry: create templates for home models which could be easily reproduced on a large-scale platform and have a contract flow that would swiftly populate forms across community listings.
The User Experience
The client had a very specific organization of Listings. During the UX phase, it took many iterations to establish a simple structure that would allow for the organization of Communities and Listings. The solution was a dashboard that allowed users to drilldown to their specific Listings from the Community level. Everything that encompassed the information and it's relationship is what constructed the data model for the BE.
Once we captured the MVP experience and all of the client's needs were implemented into the wireframes, we moved into UI to complete the look and feel of the experience.
The Task Manager was designed to account for as many use cases as possible of tasks that would need to be completed that would account for all user types. Builders can both create custom templates that would be applied to all Listings within a Community, and they may also create manual tasks that are specific to the Listing.
Using PandaDoc's integration, a user can simply access an existing document with variables that would capture the user's tokens value and populate contracts instantaneously. This was a complex flow in the data model to create but resulted in a huge time saver for users.
